Terms and Conditions

I understand and agree that:

  1. Full payment will be finalised to the applied for course or workshop 14 days prior to its commencement.
  2. The following refund conditions apply:
    1. A full refund will apply 90 days or more from the start of the applied course or workshop.

      A 75% refund will apply 60-89 days from the start of the applied course or workshop minus a $200 administration fee.

      A 50% refund will apply 15-59 days from the start of the applied course or workshop minus a $300 administration fee.

      No refund will apply 14 days or less from the start of the applied course or workshop or if any manuals or materials have been issued at any time.

  3. Refund of payment is guaranteed when notice is given in writing by the person who applied for the training. If notification to cancel training is given within 14 days prior to the commencement of any training then full payment for the course or workshop is to be paid as compensation to The Australian Pilates Academy for losses incurred for Rental of Locations, Printing , Travel and Accommodation and other associated costs that may have been incurred.
  4. 30 days prior to the start of the nominated course or workshop, deferment of payment to the next programmed course in any city may be granted with out any financial penalty. Deferment of payment to the next programmed course in any city within 30 days will attract a $200 transfer fee for courses and a $50 transfer fee to workshops. If payment is deferred and then cancelled all monies are forfeited. If the trainee canceles the training at all or at any time all manuals and materials that have been received by the trainee must be returned to The Australian Pilates Academy immediately or deleted if received by electronic means. No copies are to be retained by the trainee.
  5. When attending a course, trainees must be free from any current or existing ailments, injuries or conditions that may be aggravated by Pilates exercise. Pilates training is intense, therefore appropriate fitness, strength and capability to complete the course is required. The Australian Pilates Academy takes no responsibility for any injuries sustained whilst attending any Pilates course.
  6. Any exams that are deemed as “Not Yet Competent” will attract a fee of $50.00 to complete the same exam again. Any other associated administrative costs (not to exceed a further $50) must also be paid if necessary. Should a second exam be deemed as “Not Yet Competent” the applicant will be required to attend a second course at a 50% reduction of the current price within 12 months, however will only be entitled to one examination in order to qualify. If a 3rd attempt at any one exam is deemed as “Not Yet Competent” the applicant will be denied any further training on that particular course for a period of not less than 12 months at which time all payments made to the Australian Pilates Academy will be forfeited and any further training will be at the full current price. Should the applicant require private tutoring to prepare for examinations, a cost of $60.00 per hour or part there of will apply.
  7. Full payment of the course must be made before 14 Days prior to the start of the course. If payment is not made within 14 days of the course commencing and the client has not made other arrangements to either cancel or defer the training by the first day of the course the outstanding balance of the full cost of the course or workshop that has been registered will be paid for. This payment will be made by Electronic Funds Transfer by the Australian Pilates Academy with the Credit Card details that were supplied at the time of registration. Should the student not attend the training after full payment is made the student can defer thee training to another date with a $200 transfer fee. No refunds will be made as training is based on numbers attending.
  8. All reference materials and manuals will be returned to The Australian Pilates Academy and all electronic documents will be deleted and destroyed should the training be discontinued prior to the completion of the desired training for any reason.
  9. Should a trainee fail to complete the nominated course within a two year period it will be considered incomplete. At this stage all reference materials must be returned to The Australian Pilates Academy. Any electronic files received from The Australian Pilates Academy must be deleted and destroyed. No copies are to be retained by the trainee.
  10. The Australian Pilates Academy reserves the right to change these conditions without notice at any time.
  11. The information supplied on the Application Form is true and correct to the best of my knowledge.
